Proofreading catches any issues with:
- grammar
- punctuation
- spelling
- subject-verb agreement
- sentence fragments
- redundancy
Proofreading is most effective when it is done by a professional who has not already worked on your manuscript.
Rewriting
Does your project needs substantial rewriting?
You might:
- be a non-native English speaker
- have an issue that makes writing challenging, like dyslexia
- need technical documents made clear to a layperson
- need a more professional tone
- want a more casual tone, including idioms and slang
